all my icons, part 1

I don't know if I'll renew the feature on my livejournal account that allows me to have additional userpics. and I don't know where I might take them if i don't have them there.

so this is a random posting of some of my icons, the stories behind them, and the attributions of credit relating to them.

The Power and Glory of Your Boobs
I love this icon. Originally, I discovered it in a blog by tamnonlinear. I discovered Tamnonlinear through a friend and by searching for "Tam Lin" as an interest on livejournal. She had obtained it from a friend of hers, mtgat. And I use it with thanks to both of them. And really -- what is there not to like about this icon? ;)

Danae's Jackassery
Some days, I really miss reading American comic strips. Non Sequitur is one of them. This icon is generally reserved for all those moments when someone just does One Of Those Things. It's for the situation in which I wish I could say, and mean, "I can't believe he/she/they did that." It was yoinked from fritters.

She Has Wings
I don't know how I came across this icon by akayeth, but it was love at first sight. The idea that the magic can -- and does -- coexist with the mundane is an important concept to me. I love the simply black-and-white (a lot of my favorite icons are just black-and-whites). There's probably a story in this icon. Maybe I'll write it.

What the Frell???
I really miss Farscape. I didn't come onto it until the second season, but once I did, I ate it up. I don't know how I found this one, but it is probably in my top five favorite icons ever. Sometimes, I really think I should have this as my next tattoo ;) Yoinked from joykinz.

Frodo's Eye
This was one of the first icons I "made." I found the image through the community bloodphoenix and added the coloring myself.

Evil Cat Laugh

My laugh is an evil laugh.... This one was made by feathered, and I wish I could give credit to the original artist, but I have no idea who that is. If YOU know, please message me or comment to let me know.

Gesundheit
I like gargoyles. They're great. Some are clever, some are unique, and some are just odd. This picture came from skellorg at obsessiveicons. I added the text.

Did you know there's a place with a gargoyle that looks like a storm trooper?

Icthyarchy.
n. the domain or rule of fishes.
one from a series by skellorg at obsessiveicons. mmmmm educational icons ;)

Come Sin With Me.
I found this while milling around in the photobucket account of m15m. If you've never visited m15m's blog, you don't realize what a treasure you're missing. She has written some of the most hysterical movie synopses ever imagined. And she produces some highly amusing icons too (see the V for Vendetta icons). This one came from a vintage book.

Can't Take You Anywhere
As just mentioned, m15m's blog should be required reading. Cleolinda is brilliant.

I love V for Vendetta. But I love icons poking fun at the movie as well. The look on Stephen Rea's face is priceless and the "flavor text" spot on. Generally, I use this icon on the occasions when _I'm_ the one who can't be taken anywhere...
